Loss of Mother

I never thought I would lose my mother suddenly. And in retrospect, suddenly is better than a lengthy illness. Watching someone die is a horrible pain. Suddenly is no better, but easier...kind of hard to explain.

I beg of each and everyone, if there are past issues with your mom, please just forgive that person, and start a better relationship. Don't drag around the hate and bitterness, because you never know when that last goodbye is going to be. I was able to tell my mom I loved her, but I am not sure she told me. I wish I had more time with her and could give her one last hug. My mom wasn't the best mom on the planet, but the only one I had, and she could never give me much, but she always gave me love and whatever else she could. I am at fault for taking her for granted, and I am deeply sorry for that.

Please make peace with your mothers, tell them you forgive them, build a new relationship, tell her you love her EVERYDAY, and hug her as often as possible!!

To Legalize or Not

To Legalize or Not.....Drugs
Such a hot topic issue, and everyone has an opinion. With so many DWI's and DUI's, the issue should be examined! Both sides of the issue are equally important and deserve respect. One option that is not being discussed is to legalize ALL drugs. Marijuana, speed, LSD, PCP, cocaine, meth...and all other drugs not listed. And before you go off into a tirade about it....think about it. If drugs were legal, then the government could contract with certain people to make, and sell it at specified stores, and tax it...just like they do tobacco. Then the tax that is collected should be set in a separate fund so that when someone is dying of any number of ailments from the drug use, then the money that is in the fund will go to pay for it...so that the tax payers (the non drug users) won't feel the pinch of it. As well as the loss of life might decrease, the rate of crime has the possibility of decreasing, and it would keep the money here in America so that it could stop some money going into the hands of terrorists.
No one really talks about the accidents that happen by going to the local "smoke shop" because they dropped their cigarette, because it is hard to prove, however, if someone were to look closely at it, one might be surprised to find how many accidents (and near accidents) happen because of that fact.

Ft. Hood

All though we are all saddened about the loss and injuries that happened at Ft. Hood, TX, we all must remember that this tragedy could have been avoided. It makes one wonder if we, as Americans, remember our history, or if the lessons of history have been sacrificed in vain for modern convenience. We won WW2 by the whole country giving up modern conveniences and working together. If we love living in this country as much as we say we do, and we want to win wars and be successful with police actions, then we need to come together again. All that to say this....we need to defend our country against all issues foreign and domestic. Figure out the best way to handle a situation, send in enough troops to begin with, get the issue resolved, and get out by a certain date. It is that plain and simple. As with anything else, you get what you pay for. If you do things on the cheap, it will just cost more in the long run, and no American life is worth it.
